Injury Rehabilitation & Strength Journey
For years I lived with a pregnancy-related injury that led to strength loss, reduced muscle tone, inflammation, and countless specialist appointments, scans, and band-aid treatments.
Then I found Mel, and I immediately knew I was in safe hands. Unlike others, she didn’t dismiss my injury as just another easy fix, she genuinely wanted to understand what I had been through and how she could best help reduce the pain and limitations I had been living with.
Her knowledge in both personal training and massage really stood out to me, and I knew that rebuilding strength alongside proper recovery would be essential for my long-term health.
I had never done proper gym work before, but Mel has helped me rebuild strength in a way that feels safe and supported. She ensures my form is correct, protects my body while still helping me progress, and understands that injuries aren’t linear.
Some weeks your body cooperates, and other weeks it flares up, being able to switch from PT to massage when needed has made a huge difference, helping settle flare-ups so I can keep moving forward instead of feeling like I’m back at square one.
This journey has positively affected every part of my life. I’m now able to get in amongst my team at work more and feel far more supported in my mental well-being.
Most importantly, Mel has given me hope that my future doesn’t have to be defined by the pain I’ve lived with for so many years, and that I can be more present and active with my son.
